Building Security
At Coterie Cathedral Hill, ensuring the safety of our residents is paramount. Our front desk is staffed 24 hours per day, and frequent perimeter checks are conducted by security personnel. Coterie Cathedral Hill is also equipped with state-of-the-art security systems, including 24/7 camera surveillance, secure entry points, and advanced fire detection systems. Our well-trained staff undergo regular safety training to ensure quick response times in any emergency.
As older adults can be particularly vulnerable to illness, Coterie is committed to helping residents remain as healthy as possible.
To keep our spaces safe, our enhanced preventive protocols exceed all state, local, and regulatory sanitation guidelines. Common areas and high-touch surfaces are sanitized with disinfectants proven to kill coronavirus, norovirus, listeria, MRSA, and staph.
When necessary, visitors also undergo a temperature check and health screening at the Accushield Visitor Management System kiosk before entering the community.
Coterie’s fine cuisine features nutritious ingredients shown to boost the immune system – foods such as leafy greens, citrus fruits, fresh shellfish, berries, and seeds. Coterie also holds seasonal vaccination clinics for flu and COVID-19.
Extreme weather events are a fact of modern life. Emergency protocols and specially trained staff are in place to quickly address threats posed by wildfires, hurricanes, floods, and severe winter storms.
The moment a threat is identified, Coterie works with emergency experts to fully understand any potential safety issues. Should a situation escalate, our emergency response team is ready to be dispatched at a moment’s notice to assist.
Coterie Cathedral Hill features state-of-the-art backup systems to ensure uninterrupted power and internet connectivity, as well as abundant supplies of food, water, and emergency equipment. In the event of an evacuation, our industry-leading response plan provides the safe transport of residents to alternate lodging.
